Reach SF

Vision & mission

Sowing a culture of ongoing prayer, worship, and evangelism in San Francisco

Mission

Reach Up. Reach In. Reach Out.

Reach SF exists to help people and churches across San Francisco seek first God's kingdom—rooted in the words of Jesus (Matthew 6:33), prioritizing His house and His purposes alongside the daily work of prayer, worship, and faithfulness. The prophets urge God's people to put His priorities above their own and show the blessing that follows obedience; they also look ahead to God raising up His dwelling in the last days, even as Scripture reminds us that the true throne of God is greater than any building.

Prayer & worship

We value prayer and worship as the center of the Christian life. Jesus taught persistent prayer (Luke 18:7) and called His house a house of prayer for all nations (Mark 11:17). The Scriptures point to prayer and worship that continue day and night—expressions of dependence on God and love for His name—and to a vision of incense-like worship offered among the nations before the Lord.

Church unity & collaboration

We value church unity and partnership across neighborhoods and traditions, contending together for the faith while serving our city with humility. Where God's people align with His Word and Spirit, the church displays His wisdom and love to a watching world.

Outreach & the gospel

We value outreach that proclaims Christ and serves our neighbors in tangible ways. The gospel of the kingdom is meant to be carried to every part of the earth; locally, that begins with faithful witness, mercy, and invitation in our own streets and communities—part of the great movement in which the knowledge of God covers the earth as the waters cover the sea.

Mt 24:14 · Hab 2:14 · Mk 16:15 · Mt 28:19-20

Night-and-day prayer

We value sustained, city-wide prayer—including a vision for prayer that continues around the clock where possible—so that worship, intercession, and the cries of God's people rise before Him continually. The church is called to watch, pray, and stay awake in spirit, living in expectation of Christ's return and the full accomplishment of God's promises, hastening the day of God by lives of holiness and devotion.
